Phyllis Allen

Phyllis A. Allen, 67, died Sept. 9.

She was born June 2, 1934, in Chicago. A retired reservations agent for an airline, she was a five-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of St. Joseph Husband of Mary Catholic Church.

Services are private. Palm Mortuary-Jones handled arrangements.

Charles Becherer

Charles Lee Becherer, 41, died Saturday.

He was born March 12, 1960, in Rhode Island. A telephone technician, he was a two-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; brother, Tony; and sister, Linda.

Esther Carithers

Esther H. Carithers, 88, died Monday.

She was born July 10, 1913, in Kent, Wash. A homemaker, she was a 17-year resident of Boulder City and a member of the University of Washington Alumni Association.

She is survived by her sons, Brent of Hatillo, Puerto Rico, and Jared of Henderson; daughters, Erin Conly of Hawthorne and Laele Pepin of Herndon, Va.; sister, Thurley Rogers of Montera, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Marion Caywood

Marion Caywood, 88, died Sunday at a Las Vegas hospital.

She was born May 10, 1913, in Charleroi, Pa. A retired cashier for a hotel/casino, she was a 37-year resident of Las Vegas and a member of St. Michael Orthodox Lady's Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Parrott of Henderson; sister, Olga Tracy of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael's Orthodox Church followed by burial at Palm Valley View Memorial Park. The family requests memorial donations be made to the church.

Phillip Cerrone

Visitation for Phillip "Phil" Cerrone, who died Saturday, will be from 2 to 7 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. today and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern. Graveside services will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Patricia Christensen

Patricia G. Christensen, 73, died Sunday at a Boulder City hospital.

She was born March 17, 1928, in Milwaukee. A retired laboratory technologist for a hospital, she was a 22-year resident of Boulder City, a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International, past president of Boulder City Rotary Club, president of Hoe and Grow Garden Club, a member of the American Association of University Women and a volunteer at Boulder Dam Hotel.

She is survived by her son, W. Joe Woodman of Incline Village; stepsons, Douglas and Jeffrey, both of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; stepdaughters, Ann Williams of Denver, Jean of Alexandria, Va., Vicki Armas of Montreal and Valerie Corcoran of Rancho Cucamonga; sister, Janet Woodward of Key Largo, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 12:40 p.m. Friday at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The family requests memorial donations be made to American Red Cross Disaster Relief or the American Cancer Society. Palm Mortuary-Henderson handled arrangements.

Charles Clapp

Charles Clapp, 81, died Sept. 12 in San Pedro, Calif.

He was born April 28, 1920, in Youngstown, Ohio. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he was a machinist in the aerospace industry and a 13-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his daughters, Bonnie Jankyn of Rancho Pecos Verde, Calif., and Roseanne Goodrow of Sliso Viejo, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home with graveside services at 10 a.m. at Paradise Memorial Gardens.

R. Kevin Conger

R. Kevin Conger, 38, died Sunday in Longview, Texas.

He was born May 14, 1963, in Las Vegas. A slot floorman in a casino, he was a lifetime resident.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; and son, Richard, both of Las Vegas; daughters, Jessica of Las Vegas and Amanda of Olympia, Wash.; father, Richard of Blue Diamond; mother and stepfather, Pamela Marcello and Joseph Marcello; and brother, Dana Newton, all of Las Vegas; and sister, Ronda Sachnowitz of Longview.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Palm Mortuary-Jones.

Sandra Jean Dandrea, 65, died Saturday.

She was born June 12, 1936, in Duluth, Minn. A homemaker, she was an 11-year resident of Las Vegas.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Harkins and Stacy Puckett, both of Las Vegas, and Theresa Nunez of Phoenix; son, Steven of Wanaque, N.J.; sister, Evelyn Charrier of Henderson; and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Phoenix. The family requests memorial donations be made to the victims of the recent terrorist attacks in New York. American Burial & Cremation Services handled arrangements.

Mike Davis

Mike Davis, 63, died Monday at a Las Vegas hospital.

He was born July 23, 1938, in Savanna, Ill. A Navy veteran, he was a salesman for a mortuary and a 27-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his son, Mark of Littleton, Colo.; daughter, Evelyn of Las Vegas; brother, Patrick of Savanna; sisters, Diane of Phoenix, Lauri Wallette and Margo Ford, both of Savanna, Paula Ivy of Fort Bragg, Calif., and Barbi Jo Francke of Hanover, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Cheyenne. The family requests memorial donations be made to the Clark County Humane Society.

Mary Elizabeth Dunn, 81, died Monday.

She was born Jan. 20, 1920, in Indianapolis. A computer analyst for the government, she was a 37-year resident of North Las Vegas.

She is survived by her husband, Lincoln of Las Vegas; son, Jerry Moore of California; sister, Charlotte Fowler of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Lisha Durden-Griffin

Lisha Daniels Durden-Griffin, 34, died Monday at a North Las Vegas hospital.

She was born Nov. 26, 1966, in Las Vegas. A cosmetologist, she was a lifetime resident.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Griffin; mother, Magdelene Daniels; brothers, Harriell Daniels, Reggett Daniels, Wallace Daniels and Brian Daniels; and sisters, Pamela Randolph and Sandra Daniels, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at American Burial & Cremation Services with services at 11 a.m. Friday at Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Tristan E. Erekson, 50, died Saturday.

She was born July 22, 1951, in Utah. A seamstress, she was a four-month resident of Las Vegas.

Jesse Michael Fernandez, 20, died Sept. 12 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

He was born Oct. 10, 1980, in Las Vegas. A 1999 graduate of Bonanza High School, he was a lifetime resident.

He is survived by his mother, Deena of Cedar Rapids; father and stepmother, John and Daphne; and sister, Desa, all of Las Vegas; brother, Joseph of Los Angeles; stepsister, Tammi Vanderbroeck; and stepbrother, Donovan Lee, both of Las Vegas; and grandparents, Jim Murdock and Sharon Murdock, both of Cedar Rapids; Jose and Elvira, both of Las Vegas, and Olive Johnston of Dubuque, Iowa.

Feaster H. Fitzpatrick Sr., 95, died Monday at a Las Vegas hospital.

He was born Nov. 16, 1905, in Logan County, Ark. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired pharmacist and a resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his sons, Feaster Jr. of Houma, La., and David Drummond of Fort Smith, Ark.; sister, Bernardine Smith of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.

Kenneth Lyle Frink, 97, died Monday at a Las Vegas hospital.

Robert "Bob" Langley, 59, died Sept. 14 at a Las Vegas hospital.

He was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Detroit. An inventor and owner of a computer company, he was a 10-year resident of Las Vegas.

He is survived by his sons, Dennis and Edward; daughters, Elaine McDonald, Jennifer Temple and Kimberly Parks; and 11 grandchildren.

Samuel Meredith Lawson, 81, died Sept. 5.

He was born Dec. 28, 1919, in Baltimore. A security officer for the casino industry, he was a resident of Las Vegas.

Frank Lomassaro

Frank Lomassaro, 78, died Monday.

He was born June 19, 1923, in Staten Island, N.Y. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired electrician for the construction industry, a four-year resident of Henderson and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 358/456 Retirees and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Rosen; son, Alfred, both of Henderson; sisters, Rose Notorgiacoma and Millie Amaniera, both of Staten Island; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary-Eastern, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Ernest R. Lucero, 69, died Monday.

He was born May 17, 1932, in Albuquerque, N.M. A retired supervisor in landscaping, he was a 36-year resident of North Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia of Las Vegas; daughters, Diana Jones of Las Vegas and Kathy Ploof of Germany; sons, Danny of Henderson, Ernest of Reno, Willie Nauez and David, both of Las Vegas; sisters, Rita Chavez of Baldwin Park, Calif., Delores Garcia and Jenney Montoya, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

David Eugene Moody, 47, died Sunday.

He was born July 27, 1954, in Las Vegas. A painter for an automobile body shop, he was a lifetime resident.

Naida Myers

Naida Clarice Smith Myers, 78, died Sunday.

She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Delta, Utah. A longtime resident of Las Vegas, she was employed in several capacities including bookkeeper, teller, retail sales and receptionist, and was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society of Clark County, a Cub Scout den mother and a member of Singing Mothers Choir and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her children, Sue Grebs of Green River, Wyo., Rob of Provo, Utah, and Jim of Las Vegas; brother, Jim Smith of Schurz; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held in Green River. Anderson & Sons Mortuary, American Fork, Utah, handled arrangements.

Sheldon Parker, 83, died Tuesday.

He was born July 1, 1918, in Utah. A custodian for the school district, he was a resident of Panaca.

He was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Corpus Christi, Texas. A laborer for an agriculture company, he was a two-year resident of Las Vegas.

Philip Radosav Sulejic, 11, died Sunday.

Born June 22, 1990, in Las Vegas, he was a former student at Eisenberg Elementary School and a soccer player.

He is survived by his parents, Miodrag and Barbara; sister, Megan Mynatt; and brother, Drago, all of Las Vegas; and grandfather, Radosav of Ontario.

Robert L. Wagner, 78, died Saturday in California.

He was born March 15, 1923, in Toledo, Ohio. A World War II veteran, he was a resident of Santa Paula, Calif., a former longtime resident of Las Vegas, a retired chief electrical inspector in city government and a member of Operating Engineers.

He is survived by his sons, Robert of Santa Paula, Brett of Camarillo, Calif., and Brian and Brad, both of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

A retired owner of a residential care facility, she was a five-year resident of Las Vegas, a member of the Polish American Legion and Beaucent and past mother advisor of Rainbow Girls, past queen of Daughters of the Nile, past high priestess of Lady's Oriental Shrine, past matron of Eastern Star and past worthy high priestess of White Shrine.

She is survived by her husband, Richard of Las Vegas; daughter, Ritarae Holley of Oxnard, Calif.; sisters, Ceil Zaremba of Port Arthur, Ohio and Gloria Eddy of Virginia; brothers, Marion Sokell, Louis Sokell and Chester Sokell, all of Cleveland; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
